About Stephen
13 years ago, I first picked up a camera. I have had one in my hands near daily ever since. Photo work has taken me from the high desert pepper fields of India, to the mountain lowlands of Nicaragua, and the sandy, sun-soaked soil of Florida in between.
Photography for me has been less of a love and more of an all consuming compulsion. I cannot avoid composing and ordering the world around me.
Somewhere along the way, I learned to love people, moving from documentation to the active participation we call portraiture.
I'm humbled by the strength I see in my subjects, and so utterly fortunate to be able to do this for a living.
